The Wineyards
Company’s cultivated surface amounts to 16 hectares and all vineyards are located in the best areas of the hills. The density is equal to 4,000-4,500 vines per hectare.
The growing systems are “Cappuccina” and “Guyot”.
The first envisages the bending of two ends per vine, while the latter envisages the bending of one single end per vine.
Furthermore, the company owns a small nursery where the clones of some kinds faced with the danger of extinction are multiplied through the collection of the buds from the oldest vineyards of the area.
Such a system gives the possibility to study and then realize vineyards which otherwise would only remain a recollection.
The production is very low, around 70 quintals/ha, but Picolit and Merlot are the exception as their production is even lower. Our products possess excellent organoleptic characteristics, an alcoholic degree and acidity which are almost always perfect and ease the work in the cellar.
