The History.
The company begins its adventure in the distant 1963 when grandfather Leonardo comes back from Switzerland (the usual fate of the peoples of the Friuli region) and buys a plot on the hills of Rocca Bernarda. Among several difficulties, he began the production of the old plants and, thanks to my father Graziano and his brother Gianni, he began a slow but gradual improvement of vineyards and wines. Nowadays, the vineyard is on a wide area with good exposure at an altitude of 200 meters and the production not only covers the whole range of local wines, but also earns greater praise on the world market.
The Territory.
The company is located on the hills of Rocca Bernarda, between Corno di Rosazzo and Cividale del Friuli (around 20 km from Udine). The area is the "Colli Orientali del Friuli", some lands which are extraordinarily devoted to wine-growing thanks to their position and composition.
With the passing of centuries, the aspect of the slopes has gradually changed by the patient settlement work of generations of wine growers. Hence, the glance of our guests follows the cultivated terraces, but often lays on wide wooded areas and then stops on the plain framed by the glittering of the sea on the horizon.
